Three hours. One brief. Ship it.
Join us for ALPHABETA's first hackathon a fast, no-fluff build session for University of Greenwich students who want to make something real.
The brief: Build a web app that makes student life in London cheaper, easier, or less lonely. That's it. No prescribed product, no prescribed stack — just a problem worth solving and three hours to solve it.
The rules are simple:
Open to University of Greenwich students only
Teams of 2-4
Must open in a browser on a URL someone else can load by 19:20
Slides and pitch decks are not judged working product is
We'll hand out a starter kit at kickoff with auth, a database, and one-click deploy already wired. You're building product from minute one.
Judging is on:
Would we deploy this next week?
Is the problem real, and does the build address it?
How much of it works live, in the room?
The winning team gets their project deployed and used by ALPHABETA, and featured at our launch event.
Note: This is a lab event no food or drink permitted in the room. Please eat before you arrive.
