How to Get Started in Angel Investing
Join us on Wednesday, July 1 at 11:00am via Zoom for an accessible introduction to angel investing. This session is designed for people who are curious about investing in startups but are not sure how to begin. It will break down how angel investing works in practice, what kinds of people become angel investors, and how a syndicate approach can make the process easier, more structured, and less time-intensive.
We’ll explore the common barriers that stop people from getting started, including concerns around complexity, time commitment, and knowing what value they can bring. The discussion will also show that there is no single profile of an angel investor - members can come from corporate, founder, consulting, or operator backgrounds, and often bring more relevant expertise than they initially realize.
The session will be framed as a practical, demystifying conversation rather than a technical deep dive, with a focus on making angel investing feel approachable and actionable. A core theme is that angel investing does not have to be hard - especially when key parts of the process, such as deal flow and admin, are handled collectively through a syndicate model.
