Segev LLP Regulators Reception co hosted by Gigadat
After the successful edition at ICE, the Segev LLP Regulators Reception, co-hosted with Gigadat, is returning — this time at SBC Summit Lisbon. It’s another exclusive opportunity for senior industry leaders to connect with regulators and policymakers in an informal setting, away from the noise of the conference floor, and to discuss the topics shaping the industry right now.
This is a genuinely exclusive, invite-only gathering—the guest list is kept tight and curated so conversations stay real and substantive.
The morning centres on an off the record fireside conversation bringing together legal, regulatory and payments perspectives, with Segev LLP, Gigadat, and the Nevis Online Gaming Authority. To keep the discussion candid, the fireside chat will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
The chat will be followed by an open Q&A with plenty of time to just mingle and catch up with familiar faces (and meet some new ones) in a private, comfortable setting right next to SBC Summit Lisbon.

The event will be hosted at the exclusive Tivoli Oriente Lisboa Hotel, in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações, just minutes from FIL. Produced by CH3, it’s the perfect start to SBC Summit for senior industry leaders. Come by for a hosted breakfast—good coffee, fresh food—before the show opens. Since SBC Summit starts right after, you can join us, then enjoy a quick walk over to FIL without missing a beat.

Sebastien Maraine is Chief Business Development Officer at Gigadat Inc, the largest Interac payment facilitator for regulated industries in Canada, where he has led business development since 2017. He works at the intersection of licensing, and payments infrastructure, engaging regulators, banks and payment providers to help operators enter and scale in new markets.
His focus is where compliance requirements meet technical reality: translating regulatory intent into payment flows, data collection processes and product features operators can actually deploy. He has been involved with lawyers, regulatory bodies on draft requirements, aligning compliance obligations with what payment infrastructure can technically support.
Sebastien has seen the recurring mistakes operators make building payment stacks without accounting for banking relationships, settlement timelines or liquidity constraints, then hitting compliance walls post-launch. His approach centers on getting merchants, suppliers and regulators aligned early, so compliant infrastructure is designed in from the start, not retrofitted after launch.
Nuri Katz is the CEO of the Nevis Online Gaming Authority (NOGA), the exclusive licensing and regulatory body overseeing online gaming under Nevis's 2025 Gaming Ordinance. In this role, he leads the authority's efforts to position Nevis as a trusted, internationally recognized jurisdiction for gaming operators, combining a streamlined licensing process with robust compliance and player-protection standards.
Katz brings over three decades of experience at the intersection of financial services, regulatory affairs, and international business. He is the founder of Apex Capital Partners, and is licensed by the Nevis Financial Services Regulatory Commission as a registered agent for international business companies, trusts, and foundations. He has advised multiple governments, including Cyprus, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, on citizenship, immigration, and investment legislation.
A frequent commentator on citizenship, investment, and financial regulation, Katz has been featured in major outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, and CBS News.
