Access Denied: A Staged Reading of Heather Nguyen's Feature Film! (External Event)
(Heads up - this is an external event, follow the link to purchase a ticket!)
We're so excited to invite y’all to the The Joy Who Lived Festival’s staged reading of our own Heather Nguyen's feature film, Access Denied, which they've written, directing, and will be starring in!
Access Denied is a whimsical scifi dramedy that follows two nonbinary best friends with autism, ADHD, and a platonic love powerful enough to survive giant robots and mutant pigeons that feast on eyeballs.
More from Heather:
I’m sharing the stage with Vico Ortiz (Our Flag Means Death), Valerie Rose Lohman (What Remains of Edith Finch), Chris Lam, Imani Alis, Jerry Ng, Zoe Yale, & Skylar Gaines.
We’re passionate about creating joyful stories for trans, gender-nonconforming, and queer communities, particularly of Color and neurodiverse, because spaces made by and for us can be life-giving and life-saving.
Show Info: Our show will be livestreamed and onstage for live audiences on April 5th at 2:00pm at The Hudson Theatre Mainstage and run for about 1.5hrs.
You can grab your ticket at tinyurl.com/access-denied-tix !
Covid Safety: The festival requires in-person audience members to be masked, and if you’re in LA, I’d love to meet you in-person!
