New Books, New Friends

​Hi friend,

​I want to invite you to something small and a little different.

​It's called New Books, New Friends, an evening at Solid State Books for women who love to read, and for women who've been meaning to read more but haven't quite gotten there yet. Either way, you belong here. Also, each attendee will receive a free bracelet from Little Words Project.

​I think so much of adult life makes it hard to make new friends. We're busy, we're tired, and the idea of walking into a room of strangers can feel like a lot. So I wanted to create a space where that felt easier, where you could wander the shelves, find a book that feels like it was waiting for you, and maybe strike up a conversation with someone standing in the same aisle.

​No agenda, no pressure to perform or network. Just books, some good company, and the kind of night where you might leave with a new favorite read and a new friend, or at least a good conversation.

​Come alone, or bring a girl pal or two, just know each of you will need to register and pay separately so we can properly plan for everyone. The small fee simply covers staffing and use of the space for the evening.

​If your plans change, you can cancel for a full refund by Wednesday, October 14th at 11:59pm EST. After that, we won't be able to issue refunds, since we'll already be finalizing details with the bookstore.
