Compost Meetup

​Join us at the upcoming Compost Meetup to meet fellow compost-makers, compost-supporters, and the compost-curious!

​In this session, we look forward to:

​🦠 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀!

​Ee Peng from Soil Social will give an introductory sharing on the vital roles played by diverse soil microbial communities — how bacteria, fungi, and other microscopic organisms work together to build nutrient-rich soil. She’ll also share simple, practical ways to support thriving microbial life in compost, for healthier soils and more resilient ecosystems.

​📓 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗶

​Ariel and her team are building CompostKaki, a digital journaling platform to support volunteer composting groups — especially where different individuals care for the same compost area at different timings.

​🌱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆

​Cuifen will share information about upcoming compost-making sessions at the Library and introduce an online map to help find local regenerative projects that welcome volunteers.

​🌿 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 If you have compost, stem cuttings, or seeds to share, bring a small amount. You’re welcome to take home a bag of compost made by library staff and volunteers.

​This is held on the 4th floor of Jurong Library, and walk-ins are welcome. Priority seating for those who sign up in advance.
