Carbon, nature and biodiversity credit schemes are multiplying, but few methodologies genuinely account for physical climate risk. We'll examine which crediting frameworks build in resilience and adaptation considerations, and which fall short.

Dr Elena Maksimovich, PhD — CTO, Head of Climate Data Elena is a geoscientist and Expert Reviewer for the IPCC AR6 WGI, with a focus on adaptation, resilience, impact assessment, and parametric insurance design. Her strength lies in translating complex climate science into clear, decision-ready insights that support practical action across sectors. With a strong commitment to accessibility, Elena works to ensure that climate risk knowledge is understandable and usable for a wide range of stakeholders, bringing deep technical expertise together with a purpose-driven approach.
