Climate Talks: Youth in Climate
Welcome to "Climate Talks" by Climate Circle Lisbon.
Climate Talks are regular gatherings focused on sharing knowledge, exchanging perspectives and building connections across Lisbon's climate ecosystem.
We will hear from two speakers, have a Q&A session, and close our event with a discussion circle and networking session. Join us for an evening of connection, inspiration, learning from peers and cross-sector exchange.
Meet the speakers:
Bianca Castro, Youth Climate Justice Organiser. Bianca co-organised the first-ever student climate strike in Lisbon with Fridays for Future in 2019. Today, she serves as Advocacy and Engagement Coordinator at Roots, a global organisation that originated as a Greenpeace International program and which she helped transition into an independent entity. Bianca has been a delegate at UN Climate Conferences since 2019, in addition to advocating for climate justice and systemic change in both local and global contexts. Recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 Portugal (2025), her work centers on climate justice, working with frontline communities and youth, and holding governments and corporations accountable.
Devina Shah, Advocacy Manager at Youth and Environment Europe (YEE). Devina's work focuses on bringing youth voices and grassroots realities into EU policymaking spaces. She currently coordinates the Advocacy Department at YEE, including projects on climate justice, just transition, climate litigation, environmental conflict and biodiversity at EU level. Devina is also our co-founder here at Climate Circle Lisbon!
We look forward to seeing you there!
