Forest Monks and Technology:Teaching Buddhism in the Language of the Modern World

​The forest can evoke a sense of timelessness. Monks from the time of the Buddha onwards have retreated to the forest to eschew worldly aims and practice for the highest goal. In the modern age, where technology dominates work, communication, and in some ways, even socialization. In this session, we explore how can we hold true to the values of forest practice, while still communicating in the ways of the modern world.
