About Event

Join us in the library for FREEDOM DREAMS, an afternoon of collaging and letter writing led by artist and educator Danielle "Shug" Mason.

What does freedom mean to you? What does freedom sound like? Come reflect on the enduring legacy of Juneteenth with us. Supplies will be provided.

FACILITATOR BIO

Danielle Mason is a Houston-based artist, educator, and writer whose interdisciplinary practice bridges photography, mixed media collage, and fiber art. Her work draws from Black expressive traditions, matrilineal wisdom, and the ritual aesthetics of the African diaspora, often centering themes of memory, spirituality, and cultural reclamation.
