About Event

For the April LA DevOps meetup two Tailscale insiders Brian Scott and Chris Cantey will be discussing and demonstrating a pattern for building AI applications that includes a container with (Claude Code + a scaffolding called PAI + a Tailnet). Title: Two Tailnets, Two Terminals, One Pattern
Presented By: Brian Scott and Chris Cantey

Description:
Claude Code might be the most capable way right now to put an AI to real work: tool use, research, actual ops. It's also powerful enough that Chris and Brian both wanted a real container around it. They'll walk through the pattern they share (Claude Code + a scaffolding called PAI + a Tailnet), what each of them built on top, and why they think the scaffolding, not the model, is the part that outlasts whatever comes next.

About Brian and Chris:

Brian Scott is a Principal at Adobe whose career in tech started at 18 as a Network Administrator. He's worked across IT infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and software engineering at MySpace, Disney, and now Adobe, where he helps lead Public Cloud strategy and generative AI adoption. A patent holder and published author, he writes about productivity, automation, and home lab adventures at brianlscott.com.

Chris Cantey is a cybersecurity consultant and founder of Wonders, where he helps businesses simplify their tech and security. He also created Harder to Hack, a project focused on making personal cybersecurity accessible, and writes about what he builds at chriscantey.com.

Chris and Brian are both LA-based Tailscale Insiders who co-organize Tailscale community meetups in the area. They've been trading notes on personal AI setups and what it actually looks like to run a command-line AI like it's infra you're responsible for.

About O'Brien's Pub on Wilshire:
The covered patio at Obrien's Pub has been a great place to host LA DevOps meetups for our post covid revival. The food and drink are great and the staff are very friendly. O'brien's is also the LA home of Manchester United Football Club Supporters.

You may want to bring a jacket for the cooler months.
Regarding parking, there are meters on Wilshire and the side streets that expire at 6.

Present at an Upcoming LA DevOps Meetup:
If you would like to present at an upcoming LA DevOps meetup please send a message in meetup to the organizers with a proposed title and a sentence or two about the talk.
