Pillow Princess: Cocktail Hour and Artist Talk

​Join us for an intimate artist talk at the gallery featuring Alexandria Deters, Debra Pearlman, and Kristin O'Connor in conversation with Director Bailey Coleman.

​The conversation brings together three distinct practices that probe the tensions between desire, refusal, and agency. Desire is not simply about fulfillment but also about resistance - about withholding, subverting expectation, and redefining what participation looks like. These artists question how pleasure, vulnerability, and control are negotiated both within the body and in relation to broader social frameworks.

​The evening offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their work, engage with the conceptual frameworks behind the exhibition, and gain deeper insight into each practice.

​Discussion will begin at 7:30 pm followed by a cocktail reception.
