UXCrunch July: Debate, Is AI Coming for Design Jobs?
AI is already changing the way design teams work. The bigger question is: how far does it go?
For this UXCrunch, we’re doing something a little different.
Instead of our usual talks followed by Q&A, we’re putting one of the biggest questions in design directly up for debate: 2 seasoned designers will go head to head in a debate style event focusing on
Is AI coming for design jobs?
Arguing for the motion, we’ll have Sam Walker, Founding Designer at Rezonant, making the case that AI is going to replace design jobs.
Arguing against the motion, we’ll have Steph Madeiros, Senior Product Designer at Owendale Advisory, making the case that AI won’t replace designers, but may change the role in ways we need to take seriously.
Both will put forward their arguments, challenge each other’s thinking, and then it’ll be over to the audience to decide who wins.
We’ll also be joined by a speaker from Lloyds Banking Group, Speaker TBC, who will share a practical look at how AI is being used inside the design process at Lloyds today.
As always, we'll have pizza, snacks etc and the bar tab is on us
Whether you’re excited about AI, worried about what it means for your role, or just tired of everyone pretending they already know the answer, this one should be worth being in the room for.
