Learn to Make a Sculptural Throw Pillow
Pillow Talk: Make a Sculptural Throw Pillow
Led by Adrianna of Kiki & Bouba, this hands-on workshop will teach you how to design and construct a bold, sculptural throw pillow.
In this hands-on workshop, K&B will guide participants through the core techniques for designing and sewing a sculptural throw pillow. You’ll learn how to design, cut and shape fabric forms. Then you’ll assemble a finished statement cushion.
This workshop is designed for participants who want to move beyond traditional pillows and explore fabric as a sculptural medium. The session will begin with demonstrating foundational techniques for creating a dimensional throw pillow, including pattern planning, fabric cutting, layering, and structural stitching methods.
After learning these core skills, you’ll have dedicated time to refine your design by experimenting with shape and composition to create a pillow that feels totally unique to you. Whether you prefer clean, architectural forms or softer, organic silhouettes, you’ll have creative freedom to develop a piece that reflects your personal style.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a finished sculptural throw pillow that can serve as a bold accent for your home, a thoughtful gift, or a foundation for future textile experimentation.
