Matisse Inspired Matchboxes
A night of crafts & connections inspired by Henri Matisse ✨
Matisse believed art should be "a soothing, calming influence on the mind, something like a good armchair" - a refuge from the everyday. In that spirit, we're channeling his world of bold shapes, flowing forms, and playful botanicals to make our very own matchbox sets. You'll carve a small linoblock stamp and hand-print each matchbox, leaving with a collection that's entirely your own.
Linocut is a traditional printmaking technique where a design is carved into a soft linoleum block, inked, and then pressed onto paper to create a bold, graphic print. During the workshop, you'll learn the basics step by step, no prior experience needed.
All art supplies included in the cost of the ticket. Happy hour priced food & drinks available for purchase at the bar.
Our Authentic Art is only missing Authentic You - see you June 11th.
