About Event

The AI Facilitation group would love to experiment with you to test the most recent flow to hear and be heard… asynchronously. @Maria Milosh, @Peiyu Chen, @Fynn, and @Asya Gergel with Oxford have worked with @Artem from Harmonica to build the first implementation of a use-case pipeline for collective decision-making, built around the structured exchange of ideas. Before casting a final vote, participants are guided through a process of engaging with other people’s viewpoints and arguments, submitted asynchronously by the group. The design draws on practices such as statement voting in Polis but extends them by introducing multiple deliberative stages, LLM facilitation, and a dedicated space for reflection on others' statements. The project aims to better understand how multi-stage deliberation shapes opinions and decisions, including setups where some stages are mediated by AI and others by human facilitation.

Before we send this final project out to more testers, we want to invite you to test and have your hands on the experimental design! We’ll do a collective test then chat a bit to reflect on the impact on your ideas and opinions + talk more about what we’re doing over in the #ai-facilitation channel!
