An early peek at the official Nerves hardware starter kit
Learning hardware can be frustrating. Outdated tutorials, out-of-stock hardware, and the overwhelming selection of sensors a breakout boards on the market can have a serious decision fatigue effect to beginners who are just starting out.
To make the process easier for getting started with Nerves, the core team has been working on developing a hardware kit and guides to introduce various hardware concepts and Nerves-ecosystem libraries. It's still in early development, but Gus will pull back the curtain to reveal the progress so far, and share some insights into how to develop custom hardware for Nerves.
About the speaker: Gus is a hardware and software engineer based out of Luxembourg, and is the founder of Protolux Electronics (a small Nerves-focused consulting company). He is part of the Nerves core team, and is one of the hosts of this very meetup.
