About Event

Screens are everywhere. And while technology opens doors, it’s also reshaping childhood in ways we’re only beginning to understand.

Join Mysha and Alexa Arnold from The Anxious Generation for a powerful conversation about navigating tech boundaries with younger kids—and how building resilience goes hand in hand with reclaiming play, independence, and real-world connection.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about getting curious, setting realistic boundaries, and supporting our kids (and ourselves) in a phone-first world.

Together, we’ll explore:

✨ The shift from play-based to phone-based childhood—and why it matters
✨ How tech impacts even our youngest children (yes, toddlers included)
✨ Practical norms and boundaries families can start with now
✨ Why resilience and independence are the antidotes to anxiety
✨ Real-world strategies for creating healthier rhythms at home

What to Expect:

✨ Fireside chat with Alexa Arnold, mom + advocate with The Anxious Generation
✨ Insights from Jonathan Haidt’s bestselling The Anxious Generation
✨ Mysha-style facilitated connection with other mothers navigating the same questions
✨ Tangible tools + resources to help you start small, with confidence

You are not alone. And you are not powerless. This is an invitation to reset the script—together.

Alexa Arnold is the Managing Director of the Anxious Generation Movement and Chief of Staff to social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. A seasoned leader in social impact, Alexa has spent her career launching and scaling mission-driven initiatives that create systems-level change—from agriculture and public health to youth mental health and digital wellbeing.

She is a 3x Chief of Staff, an executive coach to founders and CEOs, and a senior strategist to leaders across the corporate, nonprofit, and startup sectors. Prior to her current work, Alexa spent nearly a decade at FoodCorps, where she helped grow the organization from a start-up to a national force for school food reform. Her leadership earned her a spot on New York City’s 40 Under 40 for transforming food systems in some of the country’s largest school districts.

Earlier in her career, she led agricultural policy efforts in Kentucky and helped launch more than 15 farmers markets statewide. Known for combining operational rigor with strategic and visionary thinking, Alexa brings clarity, warmth, and energy to every room she enters. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and young son.
