​About the Speakers:

​KWOK KIAN CHOW: Writer and curator, founding director of the Singapore Art Museum

​WANG GUOFENG: Contemporary visual artist

​Wang Guofeng was recognized as one of the Top 15 Asian Contemporary Photographers by the International Photography Award (IPA 2017), named“Artist of the Year - Photography” for the 8th Award of Art China (AAC 2014), received the Honorary Award for the Moscow International Foto Award (MIFA 2014), and shortlisted for "ING Real Photography Award" (2007). He was born in 1967, Liaoning, currently lives and works in Beijing.

​Images do more than document the world, they shape how history is remembered, interpreted, and sometimes forgotten. In this special dialogue, contemporary visual artist Wang Guofeng will share insights into his artistic practice, exploring the relationships between images, memory, history, power, and reality. Drawing on works from his major photographic and image-based series, he will discuss how images circulate through media, acquire new meanings, and influence our understanding of collective experience.

​Wang Guofeng's keynote will be followed by a conversation with Mr. Kwok Kian Chow and an audience Q&A.
