El pueblo salva al pueblo
dear friends, lovers, and comrades,
on saturday the 26th you are invited to dance salsa*, eat salsa, and sing karaoke in solidarity with the surrounding regions and towns of Chocó, a largely Afro-Colombian territory that was the epicenter of the devastating August 10th earthquake. we are hoping that everyone can chip in $15 (or more if you're able) to support community-led solidarity efforts.
salsa lessons will be provided by qualified personnel (interpretations open).
* no rhythm required (salsa is an attitude).
