π TinyFish SG Hackathon: Build on the Open Web
βJoin us for a full-day AI hackathon in Singapore focused on building autonomous web agents that can browse, search, and extract real-time data from the open web with TinyFish!
βChatbots are cool, but they're limited. Weβre bringing the Singapore dev community together to build autonomous web agents β AI that can actually browse, search, and extract the messy parts of the open web in real-time. TinyFish gives your agents the eyes and ears they need to actually do things in production.
βPartnering with OpenAI
βWe're excited to be partnering with OpenAI to fuel this hackathon. Participants will get direct access to OpenAI's latest models and Codex tools to help architect, debug, and ship complex agentic workflows. By combining OpenAIβs world-class reasoning with TinyFishβs web-layer infrastructure, youβll have everything you need to build the next generation of autonomous agents.
βNote: Since we have limited physical space at the venue, we're capping this at 300 hackers. Registration is subject to approval. If you're in a team, every member must register individually to secure a spot.
βAgenda
β09:00 AM β 09:45 AM: Registration
βCheck-in, grab your exclusive TinyFish swag, and finalize team formation.
β09:45 AM β 10:30 AM: Opening & Technical Workshop
βOpening remarks, followed by a deep-dive workshop on TinyFish APIs and OpenAI Codex to get your environment ready.
β10:30 AM: Hacking Begins
βReady, set, build! Mentors will be roaming the floor to help with agent architecture.
β12:30 PM: Working Lunch
βCatered lunch is served. Keep building - maximize your time before the freeze.
β04:30 PM: Code Freeze & Submissions
βHard stop for coding. Teams must submit their GitHub repositories and project demos for review.
β05:30 PM: Finalist Showdown
βThe top teams take the main stage to demo their autonomous agents in front of our panel of judges.
β06:30 PM: Winner Announcement & Closing
βAwards ceremony and closing thoughts on the future of the Open Web.
β07:00 PM: Exit
βThe Challenge
βThere is no fixed problem statement. We want you to solve a hard, real-world problem using the Open Web as your database.
βWhether it's automating deep research, performing high-scale extraction where traditional scrapers fail, or building "eyes and ears" for autonomous agents - if it operates on the live web, itβs fair game. We value technical complexity, utility, and agents that can handle the "messy" parts of the internet.
βNeed inspiration? You could explore:
βπΉ Complex Data Extraction β Structure data from dynamic or anti-bot sources that traditional tools canβt touch.
βπΉ Autonomous Research β Build agents that navigate the deep web to synthesize findings in real-time.
βπΉ Market & Social Intel β Create "sentries" that monitor pricing, news, or sentiment signals across fragmented platforms.
βπΉ Agentic Infrastructure β Build the evals or navigation logic that helps agents operate more reliably on the web.
βThe only rule: Build something high-leverage that pushes the boundaries of the agentic web.

βπ Secret Spot Prizes
βWe've also got these fun spot prizes for teams that build something unique. We're keeping the gifts a surprise now, but here is what we're looking for:
βπ Deep Sea Architect: Technical elegance + "Aha!" moment. For the team that solves a massive, positive problem using the Open Web in a way that feels like magic.
βπ¦ Most Likely to Be the Next Unicorn: Awarded for the best product vision and PMF (Product-Market Fit).
βπ₯ Most Likely to Go Viral (for the Wrong Reasons): For the most unhinged, "Black Mirror" style use of autonomous agents.
βπ The Rube Goldberg / "Most over-engineered solution": For the team that builds an unnecessarily complex (but beautiful) way to solve a problem.
βπ WTF (What the Fish): Reserved for the most bizarre, hilarious, or "why does this exist?" use case of the day.
βNote: We are also providing TinyFish + OpenAI API credits for everyone to fuel their builds during the hackathon, plus the exclusive hackathon swags ππ
