๐ TinyFish SG Hackathon: Build on the Open Web
โJoin us for a full-day AI hackathon in Singapore focused on building autonomous web agents that can browse, search, and extract real-time data from the open web with TinyFish!
โChatbots are cool, but they're limited. Weโre bringing the Singapore dev community together to build autonomous web agents โ AI that can actually browse, search, and extract the messy parts of the open web in real-time. TinyFish gives your agents the eyes and ears they need to actually do things in production.
โPartnering with OpenAI
โWe're excited to be partnering with OpenAI to fuel this hackathon. Participants will get direct access to OpenAI's latest models and Codex tools to help architect, debug, and ship complex agentic workflows. By combining OpenAIโs world-class reasoning with TinyFishโs web-layer infrastructure, youโll have everything you need to build the next generation of autonomous agents.
โNote: Since we have limited physical space at the venue, we're capping this at 300 hackers. Registration is subject to approval. If you're in a team, every member must register individually to secure a spot.
โAgenda
โ09:00 AM โ 09:45 AM: Registration
โCheck-in, grab your exclusive TinyFish swag, and finalize team formation.
โ09:45 AM โ 10:30 AM: Opening & Technical Workshop
โOpening remarks, followed by a deep-dive workshop on TinyFish APIs and OpenAI Codex to get your environment ready.
โ10:30 AM: Hacking Begins
โReady, set, build!
โ12:30 PM: Working Lunch
โCatered lunch is served. Keep building - maximize your time before the freeze.
โ04:00 PM: Code Freeze & Submissions
โHard stop for coding. Teams must submit their GitHub repositories and project demos for review.
โ04:30 PM: Judging begins!
โ05:30 PM: Winner Announcement & Closing
โAwards ceremony and closing thoughts on the future of the Open Web.
โ06:30 PM: Exit
โThe Challenge
โThere is no fixed problem statement. We want you to solve a hard, real-world problem using the Open Web as your database.
โWhether it's automating deep research, performing high-scale extraction where traditional scrapers fail, or building "eyes and ears" for autonomous agents - if it operates on the live web, itโs fair game. We value technical complexity, utility, and agents that can handle the "messy" parts of the internet.
โNeed inspiration? You could explore:
โ๐น Complex Data Extraction โ Structure data from dynamic or anti-bot sources that traditional tools canโt touch.
โ๐น Autonomous Research โ Build agents that navigate the deep web to synthesize findings in real-time.
โ๐น Market & Social Intel โ Create "sentries" that monitor pricing, news, or sentiment signals across fragmented platforms.
โ๐น Agentic Infrastructure โ Build the evals or navigation logic that helps agents operate more reliably on the web.
โThe only rule: Build something high-leverage that pushes the boundaries of the agentic web.

โ๐ Secret Spot Prizes
โWe've also got these fun spot prizes for teams that build something unique. We're keeping the gifts a surprise now, but here is what we're looking for:
โ๐ Deep Sea Architect: Technical elegance + "Aha!" moment. For the team that solves a massive, positive problem using the Open Web in a way that feels like magic.
โ๐ฆ Most Likely to Be the Next Unicorn: Awarded for the best product vision and PMF (Product-Market Fit).
โ๐ฅ Most Likely to Go Viral (for the Wrong Reasons): For the most unhinged, "Black Mirror" style use of autonomous agents.
โ๐ The Rube Goldberg / "Most over-engineered solution": For the team that builds an unnecessarily complex (but beautiful) way to solve a problem.
โ๐ WTF (What the Fish): Reserved for the most bizarre, hilarious, or "why does this exist?" use case of the day.
โNote: We are also providing TinyFish + OpenAI API credits for everyone to fuel their builds during the hackathon, plus the exclusive hackathon swags ๐๐
