Spitalfields After Hours with The Cockney Sikh
An East End night of music, memory, and chai.
Join us for a special evening with The Cockney Sikh, an East London icon whose life and work are woven into the fabric of Brick Lane and Spitalfields. Born and raised in the area, he has spent years preserving and sharing the real stories of the East End, and his presence brings a sense of home, history and heart you simply cannot recreate.
As we get close to the winter break, this night is our last community gathering before Christmas to come together, connect and celebrate the spirit of the neighbourhood before everyone winds down for the holidays.
For this evening, Cockney Sikh will be spinning a curated vinyl set of South Asian underground music from the 50s to the 70s, a soundscape that shaped generations and helped define the cultural pulse of the East End.
Chai Guys will be serving chai on tap all evening, keeping everyone warm as the market transforms into an after-hours celebration of community, nostalgia and rhythm.
Come in your best winter outfit, grab a cup of chai, and get ready to dance, mingle and enjoy a night that honours the stories and sounds that make Spitalfields what it is.
