Running a Practice When Executive Function Is a Moving Target
This community gathering is a supportive space for therapists who experience challenges with executive functioning to talk honestly about what it’s like to manage a practice when focus, organization, and follow-through aren’t consistent. We’ll explore the emotional load that often comes with this reality and share practical, compassionate ways of working that honor neurodivergent and non-linear brains.
This event is for therapists who:
Experience ongoing or cyclical difficulties with executive functioning (including ADHD, burnout, chronic stress, neurodivergence, or other factors)
Feel thoughtful, attuned, and competent in session, but struggle with admin tasks, follow-through, or consistency outside the therapy hour
Notice patterns of motivation, avoidance, hyperfocus, urgency, and exhaustion in running their practice
Carry shame, self-doubt, or quiet worry about productivity, organization, or “keeping up” with professional expectations
Want practical ideas and shared understanding—not advice to “try harder” or fit into systems that don’t actually work
Are curious about building supports and structures that work with their brain, rather than against it
This gathering isn’t about fixing yourself or forcing your practice into rigid systems. It’s about reducing shame, naming realities many therapists share, and learning from one another about what truly helps. You don’t need a diagnosis, a label, or a polished system to belong here.
This free workshop will be facilitated by MHM therapist Jessica Eiseman, MS, LPC-S.
