​온퍼포즈(On Purpose)는 “조직은 단순히 이윤을 추구하는 곳이 아니라, 사회와 환경의 건강에 기여해야 한다”는 문제의식에서 출발했습니다. 이러한 전환 없이는 진정한 변화가 어렵다는 인식이 설립의 토대가 되었습니다.

​이번 강연에서는 런던에서 시작되어 현재 파리와 베를린에서도 운영되고 있는 어소시에이트 프로그램(Associate Programme)의 여정을 소개합니다. 이 1년 프로그램은 다양한 기관에서의 두 차례 6개월 실습, 매주 금요일 학습 세션, 그리고 맞춤형 멘토링과 코칭으로 구성되어 있습니다. 강연을 통해 그동안의 구체적인 실험과 학습 경험, 과정에서 드러난 도전 과제, 그리고 프로그램이 새로운 방향을 모색하게 된 이유를 공유할 예정입니다.

​Developing Leaders Who Spark the Transformation We Need

​🌱 How can systems become healthier? And how can we cultivate the leadership needed to make that change possible?

​On Purpose was founded on a simple but urgent belief: organizations should not exist solely to pursue profit, but to contribute to the health of society and the environment. Without this shift, true transformation cannot happen.

​This lecture introduces the journey of the Associate Programme, which began in London and is now also running in Paris and Berlin. The year-long programme combines two six-month placements across a range of organisations, weekly Friday learning sessions, and tailored mentoring and coaching. Through concrete examples, the lecture will share the experiments and learning that have taken place, the challenges that have emerged, and why the programme is now exploring a new direction.

​Drawing on On Purpose’s practical experience, this lecture highlights how leadership that aims for systemic health can be cultivated at the level of individuals, organizations, and the wider economy.

• ​​​​톰 리핀 | 온퍼포즈(On Purpose) 창립자 & CEO

  • ​톰은 섹터를 넘어 시스템 변화를 이끌 리더를 양성하는 조직 온퍼포즈의 설립자이자 CEO입니다. 그의 커리어는 민간, 공공, 비영리 영역을 두루 아우릅니다. 암 연구자로 경력을 시작한 그는 이후 맥킨지앤드컴퍼니(McKinsey & Company)에서 경영 컨설턴트로 활동했습니다. 이후 코믹 릴리프(Comic Relief) CEO의 민간 부문 협력 전략을 자문했으며, 보노(Bono)와 바비 슈라이버(Bobby Shriver)가 아프리카 에이즈 퇴치를 위해 설립한 사회적 기업 (레드)(RED)에서 유럽 총괄 매니징 디렉터 및 사업 개발 디렉터를 역임했습니다.

• ​​Tom Rippin | Founder & CEO, On Purpose

  • ​Tom Rippin is the Founder and CEO of On Purpose, a leadership organization dedicated to developing professionals who can drive systemic change across sectors. His career spans the private, public, and non-profit spheres. He began as a cancer researcher before moving into management consulting with McKinsey & Company. He later advised the CEO of Comic Relief on private sector engagement and went on to serve as Managing Director for Europe and Director of Business Development at (RED), the social enterprise founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to fight AIDS in Africa.

  • ​​Beyond On Purpose, Tom has held governance and advisory roles, including Trustee of Global Action Plan, Chair of Spice. Advisory Board Member of Big Society Capital. He currently serves as the chair of the International Futures Forum.
