Social Channeler; Influencer, or Collaborative Genius?

Art curating at the intersection of concept, culture, and visual ideation.

Join Nerissa Bardfeld, Director, SeeMe Gallery, in conversation with Freddy Leiva, art advisor, curator, and founding member of Co-Museum, to explore art curation as a medium and thought-generator in the art world.

Set within SeeMe’s current exhibition, Fluid Ecologies, Freddy and Nerissa’s conversation will span topics ranging from fostering art-inspired dialog; the tension between maintaining an independent POV amidst the influence of art market fluctuations, and the critical role curators play in channeling and interpreting the collective present.

Current Projects:

Freddy Leiva brokered a partnership between Granada Gallery and Amanita Gallery to produce the exhibition, “Land Before Time: Three Dinosaurs and a Gondola”. The exhibition features three complete dinosaur specimens that were shown to the public for the first time. Freddy's co-creation, Co-Museum, is a Singapore-based art and tech startup pioneering new ways to collect and monetize art through Web3 and blockchain.

Nerissa Bardfeld is the curator of Fluid Ecologies, and of recent exhibitions, Past Perfect / Present Tense, and Through The Looking Glass, both shown at The BLANC Art Space. She is also the co-founder of SeeMe, an art and tech platform created to help artists manage their careers, grow their audience, and connect directly with collectors.

More about Fluid Ecologies:

Fluid Ecologies brings together the work of ten artists who each explore the interconnected systems that shape and influence  our world — from the natural environment and social structures to technology, memory, and identity.

The exhibition considers ecology not only as a study of nature, but as a broader metaphor for how we live, adapt, influence one another, and coexist within constantly changing worlds.

Throughout the exhibition, artists investigate the visible and invisible networks that challenge and sustain us. Some examine the interdependence of natural, cultural, and technological systems to reveal the complexity of how different forces collide, merge, and evolve. Others explore concepts of  transformation and transition. Through shifting forms, evolving compositions, kinetic elements, and time-based processes, their work sheds light on the fluid nature of existence and the instability and beauty of continual change. These works evoke ecological, social, and emotional states that are never fixed, but always in motion.
