​Many successful entrepreneurs reach a point where they want their wealth, experience and networks to do more than simply compound. But knowing where to start with philanthropy can be surprisingly difficult.

​This London Venture Club event is designed for successful business people and entrepreneurs who are curious about giving, already doing a little, or beginning to think seriously about the role philanthropy might play in the next chapter of their lives.

​The evening will be practical, inspiring and story-led. We will explore why people give, how they find causes they genuinely care about, and what structures can make giving easier, more effective and more tax-efficient, particularly before or after a business exit.

​Our panel will bring together experienced voices from the worlds of philanthropy advisory, family giving and personal philanthropic commitment. The aim is not to tell people what they should care about, but to help latent philanthropists take the next step with more confidence, clarity and momentum.

​The discussion will cover three core themes:

​Why give: How successful entrepreneurs discover the causes, communities or missions that matter to them, and how philanthropy can become a meaningful part of life before, during or after liquidity.

​How to give: The practical options available, from donor advised funds and foundations to involving family members, integrating giving with business life, and building a personal approach that does not become overwhelming.

​How to give well: How to avoid common mistakes, make giving more effective, and use tax planning, timing and structure intelligently, especially around a liquidity event.
