The Operational Stack of a Web3 Organisation | Fireside Chat with Karel Olivier, moderated by Petri Basson
Most Web3 organizations aren't undercapitalized or under-talented. They're under-structured. The technology is built but the governance, compliance, treasury, and operations are bolted on late, instead of actively designed.
Join us for a fireside chat with Karel Olivier, CEO of Lemma Solutions, as he breaks down the four operational layers every Web3 organization needs to function like an institution rather than a project. He also discusses why most founders try to run all four themselves until it stops working.
What You'll Learn
Governance and Legal Structure
What happens when governance exists only on paper
Why crypto-native directors matter more than generalist corporate directors
Compliance and Risk
Why AML, KYC, Travel Rule, and sanctions screening can't be treated as a launch checkbox
Risk is not a one-time exercise, you need to assess it throughout your lifecycle
Treasury Operations
The importance of treasury management
The importance of budgeting, accounting and active financial management and controls
Technical and Operational Infrastructure
The plumbing that lets an organization operate day to day: payment rails, wallet infrastructure, custody of assets and accounting
Why bolting automation onto infrastructure never designed for it creates exposure, not efficiency
Featured Speaker: Karel Olivier | CEO, Lemma Solutions
