Starry, Starry Nights：Candle Painting Workshop
Join us for a calm and creative candle painting workshop at Oblique Table in New York City.
On this summer evening, we will slow down with color, candlelight, and quiet conversation. You will decorate your own candle with colored wax, soft textures, and golden leaves. Then you will take it home as a handmade summer keepsake.
🕯️ The Candle
Each guest will choose one candle base to decorate. You can choose from sphere candles, short cylinder candles, rectangle candles, and tall taper candles.
Each candle base is made with 100% soy wax and finished with a hemp wick.
Instead of regular paint, you will use colored wax candles. Each guest will receive 7 colors of wax candles. You can use them to add patterns, dots, stars, brush marks, drips, and textured layers to your candle base.

🎨 What You’ll Do
We will introduce the materials and show you a few simple ways to begin.
You can use a brush to add color and small details. You can use a palette knife to build texture. You can also drip colored wax onto the candle base for a soft and organic effect.
Your candle can be minimal, colorful, dreamy, bold, or playful. You can follow a simple idea, or let the colors guide you as you create.
We will also provide golden leaves. You can use them to add a soft metallic glow to your candle.
This is not a formal class. You are free to create at your own pace. We will be nearby whenever you need help.

You do not need any art experience. Just come ready to relax, play with color, and make something beautiful.

🛍️ You’ll Leave With
You will take home your finished hand-painted soy wax candle. We will carefully pack it for you.
You will also bring home your brush and remaining colored wax candles. You can keep experimenting with them or add more details when you are home.
