​Awen x Deep Talks: The Texture of Aliveness

​In a culture that prioritizes the "hit" - the quick pulse of a notification, the brief glow of a new purchase, or the temporary distraction from a restless mind - we have become experts in the pursuit of Pleasure. Yet, we often find ourselves curiously out of practice when it comes to the cultivation of Joy.

​While Pleasure is often sensory and fleeting - a bright spark that fades as quickly as it arrives - Joy is a more grounded, enduring state. It is the difference between feeling "good" for a moment and feeling "deeply alive." Sometimes these two states dance together; other times, we use the noise of pleasure to drown out the quiet absence of joy.

​In our next Conversation Salon, Awen together with Julia Singh (Deep Talks) invites you to step into our space to explore the delicate boundary between these two states. Together, we will move past the surface of "feeling good" to look at what actually sustains us.

​The Inquiry

​Through the structured, intimate Deep Talks method, we will navigate questions such as:

• ​Where am I chasing pleasure to avoid a difficult feeling?

• ​What are the "quiet sources" of joy in my life that I often overlook because they lack speed or spectacle?

• ​How do we build a life that honors the sensory delight of the moment without losing our ground?

​The Format

​As with our previous salons, this evening is designed for presence over performance. Expect a fluid, dynamic format with shifting constellations of conversation. We move beyond the "small talk" of our professional identities to engage in honest reflection among a small group of curious souls.

​Awen provides the threshold: a space high above the city’s pace, where conversation is treated as a social ritual. To accompany our dialogue, we will share a thoughtful selection of wines and light bites. 🍷
