OWASP Los Angeles × SecureFlag Secure Development Tournament
Title: OWASP Los Angeles × SecureFlag Secure Development Tournament
September 14, 2026 | 5:30 PM–8:30 PM | In Person
Join OWASP Los Angeles and SecureFlag for an evening of hands-on application security and secure coding.
This is not a traditional CTF. Instead of only finding and exploiting vulnerabilities, participants will compete to fix real security vulnerabilities in real code through SecureFlag’s Secure The Flag tournament.
Participants will work inside fully provisioned browser based development environments, identify vulnerabilities in running applications, write secure fixes, and submit them against security and functional tests. A live leaderboard will track progress throughout the tournament.
What to expect:
Hands-on secure coding challenges
Beginner through advanced labs
Live tournament leaderboard
Built-in hints if you get stuck
No installations or virtual machines required
Multiple technologies and programming languages
Prizes for the top three participants
Food, networking, and the OWASP LA community
SecureFlag supports more than 50 technologies, including Python, Java, JavaScript, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, cloud technologies, and other development environments.
