Bangalore Futures Bazaar
Welcome to the Futures Bazaar!
Thinking concretely about times and worlds to come is harder and rarer than it should be. We believe a bit of playfulness can change that.
We're getting together to t(h)inker with the future: sitting with uncertainty, finding unexpected angles, and realising that even the wickedest of problems have more entry points than they appear to have.
This is a co-creative gathering where we'll transform ordinary objects into artefacts from alternative futures; things that don't exist yet, built out of the contexts we're each already in. Part design jam, part thought experiment, part marketplace of possibilities: you'll leave with futures you made yourself, and perspectives you didn't arrive with.
Event Fee
YDI Members: INR 500/-
Non Members: INR 650/-
What to expect:
A curated room of diverse professionals from creative and climate sectors (and beyond!).
Guided brainstorming and ideation activities, which make futures thinking approachable.
Hands-on making in small groups, with crowdsourced objects from participants.
A showcase of the futures artefacts we build in an interactive Bazaar format.
About the format:
The Futures Bazaar toolkit is a public imagination and speculative design framework created by experiential futurist Stuart Candy and designer Filippo Cuttica, in collaboration with the BBC. It allows groups to collaboratively envision and build tangible "artefacts from the future" to inspire, amuse, and provoke conversations.
