Positive Phee Presents: The True Cost — Film Screening for SD Climate Week
🎥 About the Event
Join us for a special San Diego Climate Week screening of The True Cost, the groundbreaking documentary that exposes the human and environmental impact of the fashion industry.
This powerful film was the inspiration behind Positive Phee and her Sip & Style events, where we create community-driven, sustainable alternatives to fast fashion. By coming together for this screening, we’ll explore not only the realities of the global fashion system but also the possibilities for change rooted in resilience of people, communities, and the planet.
The evening will begin with a land acknowledgment to honor the Kumeyaay Nation, the traditional caretakers of this region. Following the film, we’ll share space for conversation and reflection on how we can collectively reimagine a more sustainable fashion future.

💕 About your Host
Positive Phee is best known for her Sip & Style events, but for San Diego’s first Climate Week, she is hosting something a little different, a special screening of The True Cost at the newly opened Reuse & Repair Collective.
Phee, founder of Positive Phee says, "This groundbreaking documentary is the film that inspired me to create Positive Phee and launch Sip & Style - making circular fashion attainable, stylish, and community-driven." The True Cost pulls back the curtain on the fast fashion industry, revealing its impact on people and the planet, and sparking conversation about how we can create change through mindful consumption.
