JWOC / JGEC Winter of Code – Community Partner Registration
We are organizing JWOC / JGEC Winter of Code, a student-run open-source winter program focused on introducing students to real-world open-source development.
We invite open-source communities, organizations, and maintainers to partner with us by onboarding beginner-friendly projects, providing mentorship, and guiding contributors throughout the program.
If you maintain or represent an open-source community and are interested in collaborating with JWOC, please fill out the form below.
JWOC – Community Partner Policy
1. Purpose
Community Partners collaborate with JGEC Winter of Code (JWOC) to support student learning, open-source awareness, and community engagement. All partnerships are goodwill-based and non-contractual.
2. Scope of Support
Community Partners may choose to support JWOC by:
Sharing relevant program updates within their community (optional)
Providing mentorship, guidance, or project support (if applicable)
Encouraging interested members to participate
Participation is voluntary and non-exclusive.
3. Promotion & Recognition
Community Partners are free to share JWOC updates at their discretion.
JWOC will acknowledge partners through logo placement and/or name mentions on official platforms.
Partners are not required to promote every JWOC update or announcement.
4. Data & Privacy
JWOC does not share participant personal data with Community Partners.
Any interaction with participants must be based on explicit opt-in.
Participant privacy and trust are a priority.
5. Communication & Expectations
Communication will be conducted through designated points of contact.
Community Partners are not required to provide reports, screenshots, or engagement proof.
6. Non-Exclusivity
JWOC may collaborate with multiple Community Partners simultaneously. No exclusivity is implied.
7. Duration & Changes
The partnership applies to the current edition of JWOC.
Either party may update or discontinue the collaboration with prior communication.
8. Good-Faith Collaboration
All collaborations are based on mutual respect, transparency, and shared community goals.
