Home Energy Choice Act Celebration
Join us to celebrate the passage of the Home Energy Choice Act (AB 2313)! This landmark legislation will now give Californians the option to install non-polluting appliances like induction stoves and heat pumps with the help of funds that would otherwise be used to replace the old gas line to their home.
This is a big deal for Californians. It marks a major victory for our health and can help thousands of Californians upgrade their homes and kick gas to the curb altogether. It’s also the first state legislation of its kind in the country.
To celebrate this win, bill author Assemblymember Marc Berman, the City of Mountain View, Earthjustice, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Silicon Valley Clean Energy are hosting an event on Thursday, October 29 from 1-2 pm at the City of Mountain View. The event will feature several speakers and will include lunch. Bagged lunch will be available starting at 12:15.
