What is Rebuild?
Rebuild is a sprint for European social platforms.
Europe was one of the birthplaces for social platforms. But eventually we saw all that innovation and diversity of ideas consolidated in just a few companies.
And today, those companies form the main part of our digital infrastructure, and they are beyond our control.
With the barriers to build and design lower than ever, we need to get the sharpest and most driven minds of our generation to build new social platforms. In Europe.
Rebuild is designed as a sprint.
To reignite, to re-enchant, to reconnect, to rebuild. European social platforms.
Through tools, programmes, and gatherings, it will only run for 12-months before sunsetting.
We’re here to facilitate. To support existing and new social platforms in Europe, to help them organise. To support a new generation of entrepreneurs and builders that are doing one of the hardest and most important things in Europe.
To rebuild our critical communications infrastructure – our social platforms.
Rebuild was founded by Thomas Madsen-Mygdal. It's CEO is Ditte Graa Wulff. Margrethe Vestager is our patron.
