Code on Slopes 2027
Code on Slopes is a tech retreat in the heart of the French Alps in the beautiful Chamonix valley. We'll be based at the Alpina Eclectic Hôtel from 18–21 January 2027.
Who: A cosy event (20 people) focused on open source contribution and hacking together.
What: Three days mixing talks on the latest in web development, cloud computing and AI with real hands-on time, plus evenings chilling by the fire and skiing and snowboarding together during the day. Expect a friendly, low-key crowd and plenty of room to actually build things.
How much: The all-in cost is a flat ~€1,050 per person.
What's included in the €1,050:
Three nights at the Alpina Eclectic Hôtel (18–21 Jan)
Breakfast every morning, and dinner on the first two evenings
Our own conference room for all three working days, with projector, sound, wifi and everything we need
Morning and afternoon breaks (pastries, fruit, coffee and tea) plus a lunch buffet on each working day
Tourist tax
To confirm your spot: Pay a €500 deposit up front to confirm your participation. Spots are limited to 20 people, so the earlier you confirm the better. The balance is due on January 4th, 2027.
What's not included: ski rental, lift passes and travel to the hotel. A few optional extras (welcome drinks, wine with dinner, teambuilding activities, parking) can be added if there's appetite for them.
Help us bring the price down: We're actively looking for sponsors, and every bit of support comes straight off the per-person cost. If you know a company that would love to support OSS, or you can make an intro, please reach out. The more sponsorship we land, the less everyone pays.
