Galentine’s: Women Supporting Women (No Romance Required)
A reason to leave work early (and celebrate women)
In Parks & Recreation, Galentine’s Day is described as a day to celebrate women, friendship, waffles, and mutual support. No romance required.
That’s the spirit behind this event.
This Galentine’s gathering is a celebration of women supporting women, a chance to step away from emails, skip forced small talk, and spend an afternoon with smart, interesting women in a way that actually feels fun.
Think less “business cards and pitches” and more “real conversations and genuine connections.” It’s networking without the cringe.
That means:
No awkward name-tag hovering
No sales pitches disguised as conversations
No pressure to “work the room.”
Instead, you’ll find easy conversation, creative energy, and women you’ll genuinely want to follow up with.
What’s Happening (and Why This Isn’t a Typical Happy Hour)
We’re partnering with Theatre33, a Bellevue-based, immigrant- and women-led nonprofit known for its multilingual plays and inclusive creative events.
They’ll guide us through a relaxed paint-and-sip experience designed for everyone. No artistic talent required, perfection absolutely not expected.
Wine in one hand, paintbrush in the other, with conversations flowing naturally.
You’ll enjoy a guided paint-and-sip session, wine and light bites, thoughtful networking, and a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere.
A Little Inspiration
We’ll also hear from Era Pogosova, Managing Director of Theatre33, who will share her story— "From Scientist to Stage Artist" — as a reminder that careers don’t have to be linear and that following curiosity and creativity can lead to meaningful, purpose-driven work.
