Climate Circuit x Steinberg Hart: Fireside Chat & Interactive Workshop on Built Environment
Join us for an engaging evening, generously sponsored by Steinberg Hart.
Steinberg Hart is a full-service architecture firm with expertise in the education, arts, residential, urban mixed-use, hospitality, civic, and commercial sectors. The firm is actively pursuing sustainability goals in impressive ways.
Steinberg Hart is signatory to AIA 2030 Commitment and has adopted the 2030 Challenge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through high performance sustainable building design. Nearly half of its staff currently have accreditations in one or more green building certification systems, and it has a firm-wide goal of 100% accreditation in one or more sustainability accreditations. Steinberg Hart's in-house sustainability team, CoLab, runs climate analysis, parametric energy modeling, daylight simulations and renewable energy analysis to inform our designs during conceptual and schematic design phases.
We will begin the event with a fireside chat featuring Ismar Enriquez, the Director of Sustainable Housing Design at Steinberg Hart. Ismar is also a board member of the American Institute of Architects LA Chapter, member of the AIA CA Climate Action Committee, and past chair for the AIA LA Committee On The Environment.
During workshop breakouts, attendees will be distributed into groups to come up with a solution that addresses climate change and the built environment. We'll conclude with teams presenting their ideas to the group. We will provide the prompt the week of the event.
