​What You'll Learn

​In this year’s installment of the popular Pop Stylization elective, we will explore weaving pop stylization into the voice teacher's work of functional training. We'll also play with how a voice teacher might leverage their rapport with their students to help them grow as artists. This will be an interactive elective, where participants will get to observe and co-coach a singer through the classes. 

​About Renee

​Renee Maranan is a vocal instructor, voice teacher trainer, and certified life coach. She has over 20 years of experience as a vocal instructor and has been serving the Institute for Vocal Advancement as one of its most sought-after mentor teachers and ambassadors, having mentored and taught hundreds of IVA teachers through core classes, electives, and over 300 hours of private lessons over the past seven years. She is trained and certified as a life coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, and currently holds an Associate Certified Coach accreditation through the International Coaching Federation. Her coaching clients have included artists, animators, actors, social workers, entrepreneurs, a New York Times bestselling children's book author and illustrator, and of course, voice teachers.
