​is about the connection to creation, not the changes or techniques. Those are supposed to be the access points to free expression.

​Complexity for it’s own sake can trap us in the ego, the I. Tunes should open up new creative avenues not constrict them…and knowing tunes definitely should not become a tool to prove your superiority over others. If we can’t all agree on a tune, swing over one chord, maybe two. If playing one chord sounds “boring”, it’s not a lack of content, it’s a lack of depth.

​You are never too good to play over “simple” music. When we reject this hubris, space is left for the divine. This work is to become a vessel, the conduit. It is with this intimacy and surrender that magic is accessed, and we can get out of our own way enough to cultivate it.
