Investing in Nature: An Allocation Game

​Brainforest present their new report, "Capital for Nature: The Hidden Rules of Funding Pre-Seed & Seed Nature Startups." The event targets investors and foundations interested in nature and biodiversity finance.

The centrepiece is The Biodiversity Allocation Game, a 45-minute interactive workshop where participants receive a hypothetical €10M budget and must allocate it across four biodiversity investment buckets: Data & MRV (measurement tech), Avoided Loss (supply chain/compliance), Restoration (nature-based projects), and Finance Rails (blended finance, insurance, outcomes payments).

​This side event to Hack Summit is open to all of the participants who want to dive into complexity and experience the trade-offs in biodiversity investing: risk, time-to-impact, evidence quality, additionality.

​After a short intro, we'll go into workshop mode, trying to build a portfolio balancing strong impact in biodiversity conservation and financial returns.
