Anything Can Be A Lamp: Open Studio with Echo Yun Chen (7pm Entry)

​From August-October 2026, this year’s Chores artisans invite us into their studios to preview early prototypes, practice craft skills, and actively participate in the refinement of this year’s Chores collection.

​“Anything Can Be A Lamp” is the first installment of our Open Studio series: join multidisciplinary artist and this year’s Chores Artisan-in-Residence, Echo Yun Chen, for an intimate preview of the prototypes she has developed over the last three months. Grab a refreshing treat at the shaved ice station and peruse the prototypes before casting your vote — to help Echo select the winning one to produce for this year’s upcoming collection.

​RSVP for timed entry at 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm to help us manage studio capacity. Your tickets includes shaved ice, light refreshments, and one entry into our upcoming Collection Launch Celebration Raffle.

​Please note: Echo’s studio is located on the 6th floor of an industrial artist studio building, accessible only via the stairs. Please prepare for a short climb (during the August heat, nonetheless!), and kindly excuse any dust, debris, and noise that is typical of a working artist space.
