From AI user to AI champion in just 2 days.
Become the AI champion your team needs. Over two intensive days, you go from understanding what AI really is, to working with it on your own finance tasks, to leading the AI conversation inside your organisation. You leave able to spot where AI adds value, build a practical business case, and put yourself forward with confidence when your team forms an AI taskforce.
Who it's for. Finance & consulting professionals at every level, from analyst to managing director. No technical background needed.
Format at a glance. Two days, each with a morning and afternoon block split by an extended lunch. Up to 25 participants, two trainers, hands-on throughout. A short survey beforehand tells us where everyone is starting, so the trainers can support you individually as you work.
Day 1: Understand AI and put it to work
Thursday August 13, 10am - 4pm
By the end of Day 1 you will understand what generative AI is and why it matters, and be able to use it confidently on the everyday finance tasks you already do in Excel, PowerPoint, analysis and writing.
Foundations: what AI actually is
What generative AI is, how it differs from everything before it, and why it has suddenly changed how people work. You leave this block able to talk about AI accurately, without the hype.
Inspiration: what it can do for finance
Live, finance-relevant demonstrations across deal work, analysis and reporting. You leave able to recognise where AI realistically fits your own day.
The core skill: talking to AI
How to prompt well, how to give AI the right context from your own documents, and what you should never give it. You leave with a repeatable method for getting reliable results.
Hands-on: your own work
You apply everything to real finance tasks. You leave having actually done the work, not just watched it, and with a personal toolkit of prompts you can use on Monday.
Day 2: Automate your work and lead the conversation
Friday August 14, 10am - 4pm
By the end of Day 2 you will learn how AI moves from single tasks to connected workflows, and have a clear plan and pitch to champion AI inside your organisation.
From task to workflow. How to step out of the repetitive middle so AI handles a full sequence of steps rather than one prompt at a time. You leave able to spot the recurring work in your role that is worth automating.
A practical look at agentic AI. What it means when AI starts to carry out work more independently, explained through concrete finance examples rather than theory. You leave understanding where this is genuinely useful today, and where it is not yet.
Leading the conversation internally. Why the tool you learn on may not be the one your bank ends up using, and why that is fine. You leave able to have the strategic discussion with your own leadership: connecting AI to your internal data and context, and what that means for your team.
Becoming the AI champion. How to pitch AI internally, what you need to drive adoption, and how to position yourself for your organisation's AI taskforce. You leave with a draft business case and a pitch ready to use.

A note on tools
This is not a single-tool workshop, and it does not matter which AI you are or are not permitted to use at the office.
We teach you how to work with and leverage AI in general. We simply train on the most capable professional tool available so you see the full range of what is possible, then take that understanding back to build business cases in whatever environment your organisation runs, whether that is Microsoft Copilot, Claude, an in-house AI, or something else.
