Neuro-Symbolic AI Meetup: Where Knowledge Graphs Meet LLMs
Your knowledge graph and your LLM are not talking to each other. That is the problem this meetup is about.
Large language models read everything and remember nothing you can audit. Ontologies, taxonomies and knowledge graphs hold what your organization actually knows, and most of them sit unused by the AI programs now getting the budget. Neuro-symbolic AI is the work of wiring the two halves together: neural models for language, symbolic structure for facts, rules and provenance.
Join us at Astro Beer Hall on Wednesday evening of KMWorld week for two hours with the people doing that wiring. Knowledge managers, information architects, enterprise search and AI leads, and the federal teams who have to show their work.
What happens
6:30 pm: doors, drinks, appetizers (on Saltlux; drinks are pay-your-own)
7:00 pm: five-minute welcome from Damon Moon, Head of North America at Saltlux, on why we are starting this series
7:05 pm: one question for the room, answered in small groups at the tables
7:30 pm onward: open conversation until 8:30 pm
The question for the night:
What does your organization know that your LLM doesn't, and what would it take to hand it over?
Who should come
You run knowledge management, enterprise search, taxonomy or information architecture
You own a RAG or agent program and the answers are still wrong in ways you can't trace
You are building or maintaining a knowledge graph or ontology and want it in the AI loop
You work in a federal agency or contractor team where provenance and explainability are the job

Corpus Callosum
The corpus callosum is the bridge between the two hemispheres of the brain. Neither half works well alone. This meetup is the first DC gathering of Corpus Callosum, a salon series on enterprise AI transformation told through real projects and the lessons they left behind.
The next gathering is Dec 10 in Sunnyvale.
