BikeBus: Khayelitsha to LA Sundays Open Street Experiment

​Join Khaltsha Cycles and the Active Mobility Forum for a special BikeBus ride from Khayelitsha to Langa as part of the monthly Open Street Experiments called Lerotholi Ave Sundays — a day when the streets of Langa are transformed into safe, car-free public spaces for walking, cycling, and celebration.

​We’ll depart from Khaltsha Cycles at 10:00 AM, riding together through Spine Road, Mew Way, and Bhunga Avenue before arriving in Langa around 11:30 PM — just in time for the start of the Lerotholi Ave Sundays Open Street Experiment with live, free Jazz scheduled from 14:00 at 16 on Lerotholi Ave. The group ride will move at a relaxed, social pace with support riders, short stops, and safety marshals along the way.

​This ride is open to everyone — whether you’re an experienced cyclist or trying it for the first time. Bring your own bike or rent one for R50 (indicate on the sign-up form if you need to rent a bike)

​You can also join the BikeBus from the CBD via Observatory to Langa following the Safe Passage Route.
