About Event
Street Experiments South Africa brings its Langa edition to Lerotholi Avenue on the 22nd of February and 29th of March. On the last Sunday of each month until March 2026, the street becomes a safe, car-free space for the community to walk, cycle, play and connect.
This monthly open-street experiment builds on the momentum created by Langa Bicycle Hub and Open Streets Africa, showing what happens when neighbourhood streets work for people first.
The Langa edition is presented by Young Urbanists, 16 on Lerotholi, Bridges Academy, the Office of the Executive Mayor and the City of Cape Town, with support from the Safe Passage Programme and Langa Bicycle Hub.
