Crash-course on EU Funding for Deep Tech Startups.
AwakenHub is Hosting 'Crash-course on EU Funding for Deep Tech Start ups' as part of WomenTechEU.
EU funding is definitely not for the faint of heart, but for those able to understand the rules of the game, it can become a long-term strategy to give a startup a float of funding to sustain its R&I, network building and internationalisation. In some cases, companies can even look into EU procurement or provision of expert services as a profit-making endeavour.
This Masterclass seeks to provide an introduction to said rules of the game, placing attendees in the wider picture so as to understand the context of what EU funding is and what sort of perspective and strategy is required to tap into them. Next, we identify some key EU Funding Programmes that would be suitable for a startup, whilst giving examples of how such a company can position itself in international consortiums to meet some of its internal goals whilst still contributing to a wider EU solution. Lastly, we will cover the basic building blocks of what an EU proposal requires; how to match your needs with that of a call for proposals, develop a concept, build a consortium of partners, and write a competitive proposal. Practical tips and tricks will be provided, in order to boost your chances when approaching the difficult task of writing a successful EU funded proposal. Material will be provided afterwards for attendees to do their own research into the programmes mentioned and be able to find calls for funding & tenders.
