From strategy consulting to AI Safety: evening at LISA
AI capabilities are growing at an exponential rate, bringing tremendous opportunities and critical risks to almost every area of critical infrastructure and human activity. AI Safety is scaling quickly to respond to the one of the most pressing problems of our time.
The timing is critical and funding is available: OpenAI Foundation holds $180B+ in equity; Anthropic’s co-founders have pledged to donate 80% of their wealth; Coefficient Giving just announced Project Tailwind, currently being on track to direct more than $1B to AI Safety this year alone. AI Safety is attracting more funding, new organisations, and lots of open roles.
London Initiative for Safe AI (LISA) is hosting an evening for current and former consultants curious about what AI safety actually looks like from the inside. LISA is the largest AI Safety hub in the UK. Based in central London, we are home to leading researchers, founders and rapidly growing organisations across the AI Safety field.
You will hear from ex-consultants leading the field - Krzysztof Bar (LISA CEO) who worked as a Principal at Oliver Wyman, where he focused on public policy and technology; Dave Arnold (LISA Director of Transformation) who previously led EMEA Strategy & Operations at Intuit and spent 6yrs at Oliver Wyman. We will also hear from ex-MBB consultants who pivoted into AI Safety either through scaling existing organisations or starting their own.
