Regional Community of Practice: Alberta & Western Canada (Session 1)
Safer experiential learning spaces require collective action.
The Courage to Act Foundation invites work-integrated learning (WIL) and experiential learning (EL) professionals from Alberta and Western Canada to the first session of a regional virtual Community of Practice.
This session will bring together postsecondary and industry professionals to explore policy and legislative recommendations that better protect students from sexual harassment during co-ops, internships, labs, clinical placements, and other forms of WIL and EL.
In this session, participants will:
Share knowledge and promising practices
Engage in professional development with regional peers
Begin identifying regional priorities for student safety
Build connections to support collaboration through 2026 and beyond
Sessions are free to attend; there are no prerequisites.
These sessions are for professionals who support, teach, or host Canadian postsecondary students. If you want to connect with others committed to harassment prevention and student safety, we hope you’ll join us!
